There are three difficulty settings and four monkeys for the player to choose from. The player has to collect bananas to earn extra points to get different lives. The game keeps the player entertained throughout. Apart from this, there is a clock that is ticking away. Some platforms slide up and down or spin around. The challenges range from flat and straightforward mazes to complex ones that wind around curves, bumpers, and holes. Most labyrinth does not have boundaries, so the player has to be careful as with one false move the monkey falls off. The game's primary mode consists of a challenge to move the ball around the maze suspended in mid-air, whose difficulty increases as the stage moves forward. In the game, the player has to reach the goal at the end of the maze. The game aims to move a monkey stuck in a ball by slanting the labyrinth. It is one of the first Game Boy Advance games that used 3D graphics capabilities. It is a platform game released for the Game Boy Advance, a part of the Super Monkey Ball series.
